Hello and Good Morning AWOL family!
We are beyond thrilled, and thankful to announce that we have our organizations first Host sponsorship. The incredible folks at Trout Stalker Ranch have partnered up with us to host 2 day fly fishing retreats on their beautiful property here in Chama, New Mexico The first time I was able to lay eyes on this place, I knew that I was looking at something truly incredible. This extremely healthy fishery holds some of the most incredible trout I have seen in our state, and most certainly some of the biggest, and most beautifully colored trout. Big, Brute Brown Trout share this stretch of the Rio Chama with brightly colored Rainbow Trout. Along with this beautiful private stretch of the Chama, the ranch also holds an incredible pond, complete with mini pontoon boat for relaxed afternoon sessions.
The area of Chama itself has held a special place in my heart since childhood, much of my adolescent fishing was experienced in this place. This area has always been a place of peaceful rejuvenation in my life, and now to be able to share this place with our veteran clients…well…I think this is going to make for some life long memories.
